A word from The Breast Cancer Foundation of WA
The previous “Girls ALOUD!” events have raised several thousands of dollars for BCFWA and they are vital funds that enable us to continue to provide practical, emotional and financial support to those affected by breast cancer in WA.

BCFWA receives no recurrent government funding and relies solely on the generosity of the WA community to continue its vital work. Organisations such as yourselves who coordinate fundraising events using your own resources are very important to us.

Thanks to this type of support and the generosity of the Western Australian community, all of our services are available for people affected by breast cancer free of charge.

Important facts:

  • 1 in 9 women in Australia will be affected by breast cancer in their lifetime.
  • 36 women in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer every day.
  • Breast cancer is not a disease of older women only.
  • Early detection saves lives. The earlier a cancer is detected the better the likelihood of effective treatment.
